Delete your account

You can permanently delete your RideByWeather account and everything stored with it, at any time, directly from this page or from Settings inside the app. This applies to the website, the Android app, and the Garmin Connect IQ app — they all share one account.

What gets deleted

Deletion is immediate and permanent. There is no recovery period and no way for us to restore the account afterwards. We remove:

Your account: email address, display name, and password hash
Your ride history, GPS tracks, laps, and ride notes
Saved routes, ride spots, and bike profiles
Preferences, emergency contacts, and incident reports
Push-notification subscriptions and storm alerts
Connected device integrations and paired Garmin tokens
Your approximate last sign-in location
Any shared ride or live-tracking links you created

If you have an active Pro subscription, it is cancelled as part of deletion and you will not be billed again.

Delete some data without closing your account

You don't have to delete your whole account to remove data. Each of these can be deleted individually, at any time, and is removed from our servers immediately:

Rides and GPS tracks — Ride History, delete on any ride
Saved routes — the route list on the map
Ride spots — Where Should I Ride
Emergency contacts — Settings
Incident reports — the report's own page
Road hazard reports and group rides — from the item you created

Storm and dusk alerts can be turned off in Settings, which removes the push subscription tied to your device.

What we keep

Payment records required for tax and accounting are retained by our payment processor, Stripe, as required by law. These contain billing records only — not your rides or location data. Anonymised usage counts that are no longer linked to you may remain in aggregate statistics.

Can't sign in? Email support@ridebyweather.com from your account address and we'll delete it for you within 30 days.
